Box Score LA JOLLA, CA— Villanova loses first match of California trip to UC SAN Diego 6-1.

Doubles
Senior Josh Robinson and freshman Thomas Wakefield fell in the one spot for the Wildcats in a back-and-forth match, 7-5.

Freshman Will Monohan and Junior Lukas Choi fell 6-2 in the two spot.

Cooper Gordon and Eitan Khromchenko fell 6-4 in the third spot for the Wildcats.

Singles
In the one spot for the Wildcats Robinson fell, 6-2, 6-3.

Will Monahan took the first set against UC San Diego's Phillip Lan, 6-2.  Lan responded with a 6-3 victory in the second set. The third set would be won by Lan 10-5.

Ryan Nguyen lost in the third spot, 6-1, 6-1.

Khromchenko picks up the lone victory for the Wildcats on the day.  The senior continues to impress as he wins a battle that went to the third set.  After losing the first set 3-6, Khromchenko responded with a 6-3 victory in the second.  He would go on to hold off his opponent, winning 6-4 in the third.

Wakefield Fell 6-1, 6-2.

In the final spot Lukas Choi fell 6-1, 7-5.
