A versatile player who could do a little bit of everything during his collegiate career, David Intrabartolo amassed more than 1,300 all-purpose yards and was sixth in school history for most rushing yards in a season at the time of his graduation. He played for Villanova from 1955-58 and graduated in 1959 with a degree in Economics. Intrabartolo was inducted to the Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 1996.

The first taste of college football for Intrabartolo came in 1955 when he had 57 receiving yards and 31 rushing yards to go along with two kick returns for 25 yards. He missed the 1956 campaign but returned a year later and rushed 33 times for 104 yards in addition to returning three punts for 31 yards. His best year came in 1958 when Villanova posted a 6-3 mark and only its second winning record in the past six seasons.

Intrabartolo led the Wildcats with 582 rushing yards in 1958 and the total ranked sixth in school history for a single season at the time. He scored his only career touchdown in a 9-7 win over Wake Forest and had 1,067 all-purpose yards on the year. Intrabartolo was among the leading rushers from independent schools around the country in 1958. Out of 23 schools not affiliated with a conference, including six ranked teams at the end of the year, he ranked third in rushing attempts, fourth in rushing yards and sixth in total yards from scrimmage.

Aside from his rushing numbers, Intrabartolo averaged 22.4 yards on 10 kickoff returns and returned nine punts for 63 yards during the 1958 season. He added eight receptions for 135 yards and had three interceptions when he lined up on defense. In one game against Dayton late in the season Intrabartolo served as the Wildcats punter and delivered eight attempts with an average of 37.8 yards per punt.

Intrabartolo enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation and later joined Iron Workers Local 361 in New York, a capacity he worked in for 42 years. He passed away in 2011 at the age of 75.
