Bob Majczan played for Villanova from 1970-73 and went on to pitch for parts of two seasons in the minor leagues.  He is a 1973 graduate and was inducted to the Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 1992.  During his senior season with the Wildcats in 1973, Majczan overlapped for one season with his younger brother Ray, who would play for Villanova from 1973-76.
 
The only known pitching statistics for Majczan during his Wildcats career were from the 1970 season, when he made seven appearances and recorded three saves while posting a 2.61 ERA and a 1.161 WHIP spanning 10 1/3 innings.  Villanova went 12-7 during the 1970 season.
 
Majczan was a 19th round draft pick of the New York Yankees in 1973 and pitched in the team’s minor league system during the 1973 and 1974 seasons.  As a 22-year-old in 1973, he pitched for Oneonta in the New York-Penn League and went 9-4 with a 2.58 ERA over 14 starts while also batting .313 (15-for-48) with three home runs, eight runs scored and nine runs batted in.
