One of the top pitchers in Villanova softball history, Amy Meisinger earned induction to the Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 2012. A 1992 All-BIG EAST First Teamer, Meisinger's name is scattered across the record books in nearly every pitching category. The Columbia, Maryland, native is fifth in all-time ERA (1.64) and seventh in complete games (45), WHIP (1.09) and lowest opponent batting average (.213). Former head coach Maria DiBernardi attributed Meisinger and fellow Hall of Fame pitcher Tina Sabunas as being "directly responsible for catapulting our program to a new level. A three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member who also earned a Third Team Academic All-American nod in 1991-92, Meisinger was a workhorse on the mound for the 'Cats, starting 66 games throughout her career with 453.1 innings pitched and 1,935 batters faced.
