Dan Renn was an infielder for Villanova from 1960-62 and was inducted to the Varsity Club Hall of Fame in 1991.  He played in 47 games during his collegiate career and was a .315 hitter whose statistics included 42 runs scored, 52 hits and 29 runs batted in.  Renn had a strong debut season in 1960 when he played in 12 games and batted .412 (14-for-34) with three doubles, one triple and one home run for a Wildcats squad which finished the year with a 15-5 record.  Villanova was 44-17 during Renn’s career, including a 17-4 record in 1961 when the team matched its most victories in a season since 1928.  The 1960 and 1961 squads each advanced to the NCAA Region II playoffs.
